Trouble starting 3.6

My 3.6 conversion has been sitting for a few weeks now and I am having trouble starting the motor. I unplugged the DME relay to build some oil pressure before starting (this happens when the car sits), but the oil pressure only gets to the first indicator (20psi) on the 1975 gauge. Usually when I do this, it builds pressure to about the 3rd indicator (~60psi) and than I can plug in the DME relay to start the car. I tried running some power to the fuel pump first to check if it was the fuel pressure, but it doesn't seem to make a difference. Still cannot get the engine to start. Could it be the fuel pressure regulator? Any ideas?
