7 x 15 and 8 x 15 fuchs

How rare are the above wheels and whats the maximum tyre size for both wheels? I currently have 6 x 15s all round on my 72 911 but looking to upgrade my two rear wheels to acomodate wider tyres, also going to upgrade to sc flares to help fit the tyres in. Am I looking at big buks to get a paire of either of these?

Steve

if you are going to have flares installed on your quarters you had better plan on a few thousand for body and paint work.....The wheels are fairly rare....however available....why not switch to 7 & 8 X 16....tire sizes are more readily available....wheel prices are about the same...just my .02

As it seems everyone is looking for 16" wheels these days, I think you can find 15" wheels at a reasonable price. Price will of course depend on the condition. 7" are pretty common, but 8" are a bit more difficult to find. Then there is the option to use casted Fuchs replicas which are more affordable. I personally prefer the look of 15" wheels on the early cars (and switched back from 7/8x16 to 7/8x15 myself). Besides the looks you have to consider tire availability (15" only limited selection nowadays) and if you plan to install bigger brakes one day.
