Hey everyone,
You have probably seen some of my posts in the last few months showing my restoration photos. Well here is the final product. This took just under 12 months to complete and OH MY! Was it worth the wait! Let me know what you think. 1977 930/GT2 .................................................. ..C ![]() ![]()

Your car is absolutely beautiful! I have to say though, and not be an a_s, but I would update the headlights. That being said, I would trade you rides any day!!!!!

Chris, your car really does rock. I don't have the coin to do half of what you did so I am quite jealous. I spent most of my comparatively small coin on suspension and can't go nearly that radical bodywise and stay in pca F stock.
From the looks of the car, just go ahead and get the plastic covers that eliminate the headlights, that way there is less to break on the track! If you drive it on the street people will be bouncing off of you from stareing anyway...

wow..that's a real beauty! is it dedicated track or street too? if street, do you have a spare whaletail lid for just cruising around? some guys have trimmed their rain gutters..did you ever consider doing that? what's the weight and any interior pics?

likes to left foot brake.

You seem to have some track influences..
Pretty face, nice aero package. That car has the serious track prep look. hhmmm ok time to show off some lap times. That would reflect well on the driver's skill as well. ![]() At any rate nice car ![]() |

The car is for DE and street use. The weight dry without my FAT A$$ is around 2200 achieved by the removal of just about everything in the car that was a comfort right down to removing all stereo and alarm gear and unneeded wiring. I have never considered shaving the rain gutters as I think they compliment the lines of the car too much, still a purist in that respect. I will post interior pics along with better exterior tomorrow after I get done with a complete detail of the car. I am getting ready for the Baxter auto parts historic races here in Portland this coming weekend.
Thanks for all the positive feedback! Yes it is Mexico Blue. ................................................C: D

i don't blame you..i like the rain gutters just fine myself..and figured if you'd considered it, you would have done it prior to painting.

Should be very fun! I am currently running Bilstien Inverted coil over custom valved rear shocks with 650# HyperCoil springs. I have but have not yet installed my ERP 935 spring plates and mono ball cartridges. I plan to install RSR front struts with the ERP 935 front set up as well this spring. Then EFI and methanol injection, then brakes, then...... then..... then......LOL

Ryan, I just looked at the pics of your car. Not doing too bad your self! I just purchased a 76 911S that I plan to back date to a 73 RSR with a 3.6 NA motor. What do you do with your car and what are your plans?

hi chris,
no tracks here in arkansas so the best i can do is live vicariously through you guys. my plans are simply to continue restoring to as much 'as new' stock condition that i can. next up is reupholstering the front seats in either german vinyl or upgrading to leather. i'd like to go through the suspension and replace all my suspension bushings with new rubber too. speaking of rubber, lol..all i have on mine are 215/60/15 kumho 732 grand touring tires (covers ears) on stock 6x15 wheels. i drive it daily, so i plan to replace all a/c hose with barrier-style and possibly use a more efficient rear deck condenser with electric fans. i have 90k miles on the motor, but when it's rebuild time, i'm tempted to go with pelican member tbitz' (bitzracing.com) efi setup even though i have a good handle on cis. with this i'm tempted to go a hotter cam/pistons route to 'try' and get closer to a more 'rs like' 2.7 with efi driveability. we're pretty much world's apart with our cars/goals, huh? in the meantime, check out my car's matching big brother.. ![]() ryan ![]()

Ah, now Im the jealous one, I could use your coach and a nice matching covered featherlite trailer to go with it. Someday I will have one. For now I borrow a friends flat bed and truck when I need to.
Keep us posted on your progress or PM me once in while. .................................................. ..C ![]()
