FedEX just called me....
idiots!
they called to tell me that the shipping address i provided them doesnt exist. funny thing was that i sitting at my desk, at that very address. nevertheless, they pulled my pelicanparts order out of the truck, and now it sits in some locker. the man asked if i could come and pick it up. FedEx delivers to us all the time! good thing it isnt urgent. tomorrow is gonna be a good day.... (7/10 times i would prefer to buy something at a store, even if it is a few $$ more, just to avoid shipping woes.) |
Soooo ... what's on the way?
|
ask for the driver's supervisor....
BUT - maybe there is a typo in the address? |
I had something shipped UPS to our old company address-no sweat, it happens occasionally and they know us. The thing is, the driver decided we were no longer there, and took it to some address that made no sense to some company we have nothing to do with. We needed the parts ASAP, but I truly feel UPS was going to bide their time, and then settle. We forced the issue-MADE them have their driver go back to where he delivered it, and retrieve it. I then made them hold it, and I picked it up from the Dallas warehouse manager. Ludicrous.

Man, am I familar with your dilema Vash. My home was the original ranch home when there were no homes surrounding it and only lemon and orange trees were visible. Somehow when they constructed the neighboring homes they screwed up on the numbering system. I have lower house numbers on both sides of mine. My home is clearly numbered, as is the curb, but it should be two doors down numerically. If they don't drive down the extra 100 feet they deny my existence.
This was fine when it meant half price on the pizza that might be cold before it arrived, but it also meant the UPS and Fedex weren't always going to find it either. Now that I've been here 23 years most packages get here without delay. The exception is when the normal driver takes vacation. |
haha.
i would understand, but i sent it to my work office. we have an account with FedEx! they pick up outgoing all the time. the address is correct. no biggie. personally, i am happier with UPS. (i bought one of those service car covers, from the PP sale section) |
Yeah, in your case I bet the Fedex depot was closer than your office and he didn't feel like driving to your place. Probably a slacker! :p
|
Ive had similar problems with Fed-Ex twice in the last month.

Used to work mail order (oops "Catalog Retail") and the stats for UPS sucks. From best to worst the reliablity was 1-USPS (by far!); 2-Fedex; 3-Airborne; 4-UPS.
A few years ago I saw a UPS truck go by the window of my office with the back door open and 3 boxes fell out. I called UPS and expected that they would rush someone over to 'clean up' the problem. The local UPS depot was only 1/2 mile from there and it took the 6 hours to pick up the packages. "What can brown do for you?" It can make me think "Flush". |
They are both quite bad at times. Hey, record profits for both of them last quarter!

I often find that good companies for stock appreciation are bad companies to be a customer of...

Funny, Fedx, UPS, DHL all have not problems finding my place, in fact they are always there when I come home early from work!!! Hmmmmmm, but my wife says I never get a package, it wasnt for me!
