B&B Headers and Oil Lines
Why do I need to replace oil lines with the install of a B&B header kit? Just curious before I buy.
Thanks

Because if you don't your oil line will be cooked by resting on your headers.

the original line is in the way of the headers. you have to run the early style that goes under the bellhousing.

I hope you aren't buying a B&B muffler.....
I have the B&B headers on my 930

The factory OE steel hard oil line is in definite conflict with the B&B headers, I mocked it up on my car for grins. So that is why the kit comes with a new braided -12 line and steel fittings, it looks like a hose tha fits on a John Deere Backhoe - its huge, chunky and weighty!
You also have to re-route it completely differently than the factory hard line and I wrapped sections of mine with a rubber sleeve to prevent it from chaffing on the bottom of the engine \ transaxle. Disconnecting the factory hard line inside the right rear wheel well was a major effort after 16years of never being disturbed. Needed some good muscle for sure. Also the -8 oil line that comes with the new oil B&B accumulator and a part of the kit was completely wrong and I had to make my own braided line with Aeroquip fittings. Like so: ![]() ![]() Hope that helps. Yasin
