Priming tensioners
Does anyone know when you need to prime tensioners? I have my original set (not pressure fed) and they have soaked in the parts cleaner. Should they be drained and/or primed with oil before reinstalling?
Any advice is appreciated.

you probably killed the rubber seals by soaking in parts cleaner. you need to rebuild them now. in the process, they get primed.

Thanks John,
I use only K1 kerosene as parts cleaner. Would that make any difference in the possible damage to the seals?

never used it, so i don't know if it will soften and expand rubber o rings like regular cleaning solvent does. my guess is that it's probably less likely to, but....?
