901 tranny and this ?? ZF limited slip?

Looking at this on ebay and wonder if it will fit my 914?

Very rare early Porsche ZF 901 limited slip differential for '64-'68 aluminum case transmission. Good shape but I have no idea what "slip" it's set at. Comes with matching axle flanges.

The only markings/numbers on the diff are:

4061 004 0041 435 848

Thanks
Josh

More likely than not it will have to be rebuilt. That can get expensive. I would save your money and get the updated and better Guard Transmission (GT) LSD (40% for steet/some track- 80% for track only). Or get the torque biasing unit that will fit in the aluminum case.
my .02 cents
The GT solution requires you to grab a 914- 901 housing with a 70- 71 nosecone and flanges and you will be set. (you need aluminum billet plate also with a 1969 side cover (70 71 will work too with slight drilling)
You can dump the heavy aluminum case and go mag

The "slip" can be adjusted by a combination of re-arranging the clutch stack or the spring pressure. The question is will your half-shafts bolt up to the diff.

The early ('65-'68) model is entirely different from the '69-'74 model (which also fits all 914s). It's more than just a matter of shimming. The early uses a 45mm ID bearing, whereas the later model uses a 50mm ID bearing.
