I need some advise from the peanut gallery.
Does anyone have any experience or thoughts about removing old surflex from leather seats? My drivers side seat bolster looks like crap. It was surflexed to hide some wear on the leather. It looked really good for about a year, but now it is flaking off and looks like a mess. I want to remove all of the surflex and redye the leather with leatherique. But, first I need to get all the crap off of the seat. Ideas?

Try some lacquer thinner on the backs or low down on the seat sides. It seems to me one of the prep steps before dying is to use LT. It's been a long while, so do a Google on that while waiting for the next reply.

Milt, I'll give that a shot... I have some lacquer thinner hanging around somewhere. I'll post my results.
