Anyone know what the part number is?

sachs #88 3083 574
Clutch Pressure Plate Aluminum (11.95 lbs.) (w/release bearing) 934, early 935 Type w/Right Side Up Trans. 3083 025 031 Clutch Pressure Plate Aluminum (8.25 lbs.) (w/release bearing) Late 935 Type w/Up Side Down Trans. I have not used these but my supplier has them in stock. I don't think Pelican has them but I can get you one if you want. If Pelican sells them there you go...

I show the following from my Andial notes (be it 15 years ago!) which were taken from the Sachs competition clutch catalog. All of the apps listed below are 240mm diameter
3.0L Turbo 74-77 935 < 76 3083 999 020 PP for Gruppe B 935 76> 3083 025 031 for Gruppe 5 The following discs were used with either pressure plate for Gruppe B or Gruppe 5: 88 1861 999 615 88 1861 999 838 (either a 4 or 6 puck, I'm not sure at this point) I'll have to do some further digging in the morning if interested to find out what kind of disc they both actually were/are. Those notes are now at work. ![]() Ralph |

Thanks Ralph.
Looks like we'll be using the the Ruf CTR pressure plate which is not as strong as the 935 pressure plates, but the ~2400 pounds-force of the CTR plate should be adequate. The 935 part prices are just too high! Anyone know what the clamping force of a 76-77 pressure plate is? And the 930 116 021 03R plate force? That appears to be a slightly stronger pressure plate, but I don't have any tech data on it. |
