Took my car out yesterday (because it was under 100 degrees) and although it ran quite well considering what it's been through, it was sluggish on acceleration. Not too bad, but noticible to me. I'm pretty sure it's the same old sensor plate adjustment.
The questiuon is, when I stick my little hex wrench in there, which way should I turn it? I mean, am I lean, or am I rich? TIA, B.

Turn Right for rich and Left for lean . I usually remove the oil fill cap to admit extra air and if it stalls it must be close to lean if Ok its probably a little rich.

You can also use the "Push Pull Method" (search), or , as I do, set it just before the engine wants to stall when you come to a stop, say @ a light or stop sign. If the engine speed dips and then tries to come back up, or if it fluctuates @ idle, the mixture is too rich. You can also use a gas analyzer to set it. JW likes 3.5% CO.
