911SC/cup wheels questions..

Hey guys got a few questions here. I picked up a set of cup wheels today 16 inch 7 inch fronts 8 inch rears. 205 55s front 225 55 rear. Im curious about the offset on the cup wheel. I have 6 and 7 inch Fuchs on it right now. I would like to bring them out as far as I can to fill up the fenders. Any recommendations on spacer width? Any help would be greatly appreciated

Jay

You need 2" Spacers Front and 3" Spacers Rear to fully fill out the fender wells.

You can run 1 1/2" and 2 1/2" as well.

You need the spacers that Bolt on to the Hub - "Hub Centrics".

Are you sure they are "CUP" Wheels?

Thank you,
Jason

Im pretty sure. I got them from the same guy I bought my SC off of. He never had time to put them on. He said they came off a 964..I think Ive got to clean them up and pull the numbers off the inside of the wheel to play it safe..
thanks for the info
Jay

Ok here is the offsets(I believe) on these wheels
stock front 6 wide has a 36mm offset
stock rear 7 wide has a 23mm offset

new rims front 7 wide with a 55mm offset
new rims rear 8 inchs wide with a 52mm offset

So I have to add a inch and compensate for the offsets on the wheel aswell?

If the wheels are the same as mine, they are 9 inch in the rear. The size is stamped next to the valve stem along with the offset. You need one inch in front and three inch in the rear for spacers. Again, make sure you get hubcentric style that bolt on with their own lug nuts or you have to exchange the stock ones for longer versions. I would check the classifieds here and other sites before buying as you can find deals. If not, pony up the cash and order from Pelican.

These are 17", but have the same 55mm offset. I used 1" and 2" spacers.
