fuel pump runs costantly?????
I have a 3.0 in a 1980 sc that the fuel pump never stops running until you shut off the car... when the ar is cold it starts and stalls four or five times be4 it will stay running then it will run pretty good and pull hard under acceleration ... after running for a while it will not accelerate at all but falters ... if I shut it down for a minute and restart it will run good a nd accelerate fine for a while and then do the same thing all over agian... starting warm is not a problem at all .... is the accumulator not working properly ?
anyone have any ideas what I can check? Thanks Tony

Theere is a wire from the fuel distributer (switch on it,s foreward side) to thefuel pump relay I think it shows up as brown/red or brown/black. Goes to relay term 85? If disconnected or perhaps it is when grounded the pump runs all the time . The cold starting sounds like system pressure and WUR related issues.
