Run N' Lunch

Any of you East Bay or Bay area guys up for a morning run and lunch?
Lets see if we can decide on week and day selection, also prefered road to run. I am thinking about an 8:00-9:00am start time, culminating at a decent eatry for lunch and subsequent Porsche babble.
What say you?

Sounds good! Thoughts on doing something near the coast? It's been pretty hot inland lately.

The coast sounds OK, but I'm open to anything...If you guys would post suggestions of roads to ravage, perhaps we can come to some consensus.
P.S. Also consider what weekend would work best for those of you interested.
Thanks,
Paul

I'd be in. I would not suggest Mines Rd. as the Bimmer guys and I went for a drive a couple of weeks ago and it was 106+ degrees . Maybe HWY 1?

It's cBEERS Paul
Just think of your favorite food group..

And I think that could work for me. I have just moved from San Jose to Petaluma, so I have been out of the loop for a while. Tired too.....

Anyway, I will be heading to the south bay Saturday to see a friend who was in a nasty motorcycle crash

I'll keep watching this thread and see what develops.

Maybe a run down Hwy 1, Skyline, Hwy 84 etc. ??

I have already discovered some nice twisties in this area

Looks like I'll be tied up this weekend getting my home ready for sale. I've got a list of honeydoos that would cripple an army...

Doug,

Again, if it's just the axles, it's a piece of cake. Let me know what you are planning on doing. You are more than welcome to use my garage, tools or whatever. Only thing you would need is to arrange for your shop to snug up the axle nuts to spec. My HD impact gets REALLY close.

Why don't you swing by one night and let's take a look at it. Unless you are already sure of what's needed....

Cool. Are you still going to be in the bay area after you sell?

Hey Matt!
I will still be in the Bay Area...still in Orinda as a matter of fact! My wife and I have decided that the Bay Area is where we want to stay, so we started searching for the "dream house" and got lucky enough to find it and actually get it without being outbid by 20 other people. It's up on El Toyonal and has a huge backyard. Plan to have a Bay Area Pelican party once I'm all settled in.

Cool! I just drove up El Toyanel to go hiking up near Pinehurst yesterday. Beautiful area, and an awesome road. Are you going to be back near the end of El Toyanel up at the top of the hills, or closer to the base of the hill near the Orinda city center? A Pelican Party sounds great!

It's up higher on the hill (approx. 1.5 miles from the intersection with Camino Pablo). You probably drove past the house (still has the real estate sign in front of it).

Thumbs up

I think it sounds like a great idea. Unfortunately I'm tied up with family this weekend and next, but any time after that I'm game. Never met any Bay Area Pelicans, as I've only had my car for about 3 weeks.

Hey Paul,

I saw another thread posted by Chris Paterno (cntdrv55) about an organized run with other makes etc.

Cliff (vash) was signed up for that one, maybe others too. I'm not up for a group of 100 cars though, too slow!
