Shipping a "roller", best rates?
I am thinking of purchasing a car from Colorado and having it shipped to Dallas. Does anyone know of a shipping company that can do this for a reasonable rate? Its a roller with no engine.
thanks,

I am using Hurst Auto transporter to transport my car, and a couple others. Some of the others are non-running (hardly pushable) and the price was $740 each or so, going from Pennsylvania to remote Colorado. Maybe they could pick yours up on the way to drop mine off and bring it down to Texas to you on their way back to the east coast???? Their number is 888-251-9822 Where is the roller in Colorado? Oh and if you need an engine for it I might have a connection for one.

The shippers almost all work thru brokers and the prices are set by the mile. They seem to add about 125 for a non-driveable car. This could be for any reason including only a missing battery. From CO to TX, I would think going and getting it would be the cheapest. Next to that, see if you can work a private transport deal or trade. That's what I did and it cost me 400 to bring a dead car from KY to CA.
