Plater recommendation in Orange County

Need to get my spring plates cleaned up and replated in preparation of installing Chuck's polybronzes. Can some one recommend a plater, preferably in the Orange/Santa Ana/Anaheim area? Thanks

I sent my stuff to:
Midwest Plating Co
613 North Ave NE
Grand Rapids MI 49503
PH 616-451-2007

Tom is the man.

for 30lbs worth, I paid Midwest about $50 and spent $50 in shipping. Good deal for me. I had it there and back in a week total, turned it very quickly. You can just pay him extra for the return shipping.

Does Midwest have a minimum? Around here, it's 55 for yellow zinc but that will get you 100 lbs worth of work done. No clean up before hand, and that is pretty much the norm everywhere, as I understand it. What you send them is what you will see thru the plating. Bead blasted parts come back dull and stained parts come back with the stains showing, to a certain extent.

And nice shiney parts come back really nice, unless you're an idiot like me and throw in a couple of AL and pot metal parts. They don't come back at all, or if they do, they're toast.

Garage
Reid Metal Finishing in Santa Ana off of Fairview and Harvard. Phone number is 714.549-3771.

They did all the cadmium plating for my personal motor and do all of the plating for automotive aftermarket business that I manage. Brake rotors, brackets, fastening bits, etc. Lots of different gold options available, depending on how thick you want it.

They also do zinc plating if that is what you are looking for.

Just make sure you count all of your parts first.
