If it's here in the North Texas area, I'd take a shot in the dark and put it somewhere between 7-10K. I would be especially cautious about the mileage @ 78K.......can that be documented either through records and would a good PPI confirm it????

What is it worth
125shifter you win a set of steak knives, all you have to do is pay a small charge to cover shipping, say $19.95
I am interested in the car as a possible starting point for a 73 rs clone. I would back-date the car. I believe it can be bought for around $8,500. But this nothing but talk at this time. A ppi could change the picture. A car without ac in Texas would be hard to sell. I do not know if ac could be added and if it could the cost would probably be over $2,500. and would not work well anyway. Thanks for the feed back

I bought my 81 RoW SC a few years ago now, and I paid a bit less than $10k, but it was damaged. After repairing everything I have a few thousand over 10k in it now, and a few thousand yet to go. So, around 10k sounds about right. The 78 euros should not have the side marker lights, that started in 81. An early euro SC would be a good starting point for what you want to do. Less electronic stuff and lighter than the US SCs.

Speedracerindy, I understood that a 1978 was the weighted less than the later SCs. I had a 82 and loved it. This car is bone stock, no tail and roll up windows!
I thought it would be easier to back date the body than to up date the suspension, motor, and add rear flares. You get the later body which is a bonus.

Sounds like a $7K-$9K car. Assuming a good PPI that is.
