Targa Visor Mounts

Has anyone found an alternative to the really spendy Targa Sun Visor mounts? MIne came with three of the mounts missing, and a nice set of repro visors. I would really like to get them mounted, but $150-200 for three mounts seems a but much. (I suppose I will break down and do it if no reasonable alternatives surface.

I was thinking of building some custom mounts from stainless steel. Other than creating a small bit of metal that "could" cause an injury if the car was rolled (probably not enough of a concern to deter me), can anyone see any problem with this?

I realize that I will spend more time designing and building these on an hourly basis, but hey, that is part of the fun of these cars. If all it takes is a pocketbook, then the whole Porsche concept becomes moot.

Has anyone done this? or know of a cheap source for these mounts?

I got two from dc automotive? I think that's what it's called. Ended up I didn't need them. What year is your car? I've got a '70. If they'll fit, you can have them.
