My cabin ventilation solution
A few days ago, I posted a question about cabin ventilation; here is my solution. I drilled a 2" hole in each quarter, get give the air an escape router, and I ran a piece of VW heater host up to the hood vent. I chose the VW heater hose because it's cheap, flexible, and you can bend it and it stays put.
Works like a champ - more than enough air to keep me comfortable.

Why not just open that exterior inlet into the front boot & pop the clock out? . .should do about the same, maybe better

You would ultimately save more weight by getting rid of the windshield.
I'm working on one these now. It will come out the central vents. Smart Racing has one that comes out the clock hole, but at $200, it is in the realm of ridiculous crap.
