susp set up for 912 auto-Xer

What do you guys suggest for sway bar (frt & rr) and torsion bar set up for a 68 912 - with big bore engine, std brakes.
To be used occasionally for auto-X, rest of time road car.
All suggestions welcome.

I would go with 21mm F and 26mm R T-bars and a stock 18mm rear sway bar from the '74-77 911S with an adjustable, Weltmeister 19mm bar in the front. This will give you the most bang for the buck, and allow you some steering balance adjustments with the front ARB. I don't like the way the available rear adjustable ARBs fit on the SWB cars. Get some 7" rims w/205/50-15 V710 Kumhos and a good alignment and you will have a very potent autox machine which will not be too stiff for street driving, still, especially if you switch back to the stock, high profile tires on the street.

On the last three Porsches I've owned I made thesame mistake: build the car and then figure out which class it fits into. It ended up that I went for big horsepower (and big points) which put me into the big dog classes where I could not compete well.
My suggestion is to determine which class you want to run it, then determine how many points you can have, then figure out which points will give you the most bang for the buck.
What you don't want to do is end up one or two points over the desired class or add a bunch of stuff that bumps you up in class but doesn't make the car quicker around the cones.
