What year did central locking start?
My 85 is totally manual. So I figure it was an option for the year. Did this become standard before 89?

To the best of my memory, my bentley manual shows central locking wiring diagrams from 85 on....
Pelican parts shows the main switch years being 84-89..... http://www.pelicanparts.com/cgi-bin/ksearch/PEL_search.cgi?command=show_part_page&please_wait= N&make=POR&model=911M§ion=ELswch&page=3&bookma rk=13&part_number=C-613-609-01-01C So I believe it was at least an option from 84 and newer....I will check my red book when I get home as I think that stuff is in there..... It is shown as option# 341 on this site: http://www.adrianstreather.com/docs/Options.pdf Chris (edit:added link) |
Ok...according to the little red book, Central locking was standard equipment on 1985 turbos and becamse standard on all in 1988.....

Rick,
Optional for the 1985 911 3.2 Carrera and up! Feature was introduced in 1985. Thank you, Jason |
Yup. 87 here & manual locks. Manual cab top too which is rarer in 87s.
