Gas mileage?
This sounds funny however I'm thinking of making my 1970 911T a somewhat daily driver due to my truck getting 13 MPG. What do you guys average for MPG on the early 2.2 911's (I haven't driven the car long enough to go through a tank of gas). Thanks in advance, Christian

I know it's not an early car, but preliminary tests show around 20 for my '80 sc on commutes. Not too bad.
If you really want a perfect commuter, get a 912. I used to regularly get 30 mpg with my 67. It had a big bore kit and a custom cam (optained back then from PB Tweeks) topped with Dellorto carbs.

I have a '72 with weber carbs and electronic ignition that gets 16mpg or so (17 freeway). Runs great and seems to be as fine-tuned as possible, so I don't expect to do any better than that.
