Rear shock top mount bushes

Okay------ I am now confused, the rubber bushings that mount on the top of the rear shocks,do they fit on with the convex sides facing each other or with the flat sides facing each other. My new Bilsteins came with the new ones mounted and each was different. I think the convex pointy sides face each other----right?

Recently did the same operation. My Bilstein came with the rubbers mounted with the broader sides toward each other and thats how I installed them. Correct ? No idea, but it seems to work just fine.

Wonder if it matters...

EDIT: I changed my answer after I thought about it. The fat parts go against the body, which would mean they face each other.

Two different answers out of two possible. Who will have the third vote ?

Third would be not to install them at all

Then again those german engineers weren't dumb; so they must have a purpose.

Whatever you do; don't follow this advice

Oh no, there are two more possibilities, have them "point" in the same direction: both with fat end up or both with fat end down.

FWIW, I did as they came from Bilstein and had the fat ends together.
