Carrera targa rescued from an abusive home
She's going back together. An '85 Iris Blue targa with 86k on the clock. No one told the previous owner you were supposed to park it in the garage. At least he kept it running more or less OK for me. Glass goes in tomorrow and I'm on the home stretch.
New paint, rubber seals, new accordians, refinished Fuchs, new tires, redone targa top, redone targa bar, new lower rear valance, new OEM dash, mint RS America seats, new windshield, new H4's, new badges, new engine lid grille, new hood shocks, nice 3-spoke wheel from John Walker, etc., etc., etc. Right before I did the cosmetics she got cleaned injectors, new cap/rotor, plugs, cylinder head temp sensor, new O2 sensor, fuel/air filter, test pipe, new brake fluid, etc. Aker's did a valve adjust for me as well and right before I got the car it had a new clutch. I am proud to say that during this process it has been parked for months at a time in one spot and not one drop of oil has appeared. Better pics to follow. ![]()
