a 73E rarer than a 911S or 911RS?? am i missing something here or what? it's a nice looking car allright , but rare in numbers??

200 hp ? on webers?
and the mfi is not installed?

"the basic 911E is faster than the basic 911S 0-100mph. "??

fitted with a MOMO steering wheel?? and has been for most of it's life? then how come i see a stock 73 steering wheel in those pictures??

i'm going to check in redbook when i get home, but as far as i remembered, the T had most , then E and the S the least , but i could be wrong on that ... RS had 1500 ish so this would mean that only 900 or so E's were made in 73?

Ok red book:

73 S's Coupe's - 1,430

73 E's Coupe's - 1,366

73 RS - 1,590

73 T's - a million . . .

So yes they were the least produced BUT by no means a low production figure.....

either way , that ebay add is very dodgy on several accounts, not the least the asking price and the way that price is justified on the ad. 200 hp and no explanation on how that was done, surely slapping on a couple of webers isn't going to bump the hp by 35 , mfi was not worse than webers... no way

webers may be slightly more flexible since they are not limited to a specific cam grind, but not more effective...
also you'll find more E's for sale than S'es, and that means they are not as rare when it comes to finding one for sale..

Big-time top dollar for an E that is not originally equipped as
delivered from the factory (Weber carbs)
I understand the aim of the ad with the comparisons to
an S or RS, but lets be real & compare it to another 911 E.

It will be interesting to see what this car sells for.
Nice car, but for that price I think most buyers will want a car
with the MFI sys. installed.

Is'nt a 73 car supposed to have CIS ?

73.5 T had CIS , not the E

i asked the seller a question about how he got the 200 HP out of that car
his answer was

"webers and glasspack.........each gives 10%"

i very much doubt that , but that's just me
