Hard time installing Fiberglass Rockers

I installing a C2 TurboS body kit to my '76S. I already installed the rear flares and fenders, and I am almost done with the fitting of the rear bumper (I still have to figure out which seal to use), but I am having a hard time with the rockers. they came with some palstic pressure type fittings. I figured out I could do some holes into the cheet metal and installed them there. The first problem is that the fitting where not well glued and they all came out at the first try.

I now reinforced them with some F/G resin, but i am no t very happy with the way the rockers are fitted.

Also, it is a gap on the rear part of the rockers (that goes over the flare) which i don't know hot to solve. I thought about forcing the gap to close by installing additional fitting but it means that I have to find a way to glue them strongly!!!

Could anyone who has done this before suggest a way to install f/g rockers in a better way? Pics and/or specification of hardware used will be very welcome

thanks and cheers

Mario : Have you tried 3M double sided Tape instead of doing some holes to the sheet metal?. Fiber Glass is harder than plastic but could be reworked in order to fit the Panels versus the Sheet Metal . I saw some installation instructions for 964 and 993 conversions at:

www.betterbodies.com

Also every time we have an Engineering Issue here at work we call the 3M helpline or visit their website for ideas or instructions . They are good problem solvers.

Maybe that could help.

Mario : This is the correct address for BB:

http://www.betterbodiesmotorsport.com/

Go to the Instructions there and it will be a crappy drawing showing how to do it , they do not mention heating the Fiber Glass but cutting a little bit.
