MFI in tank filter
'72 911 Cleaned out the fuel tank; it appears there is supposed to be a filter screen on the fuel line inside the tank. I did not see one in PP catalog. Ideas? Sources? Thanks.

If yours is like my 69....the "filter" is little more than a rock screen in the feed pipe.
When I took my old line and fitting off, the screen was sort of wedged into the pipe...it took a little effort to loosen the beast and get it out. I tried to clean it unsuccessfully, left it out, put an inline filter in the line ahead of the pump. Bob
