How to tell the year of a oil temp/pressure gauge
Getting ready to install a 3.2 into a 70T. Purchased some gauges years ago and having trouble identifying what year. Need to match sending units to year. Stamping on the back is not readable. Is there any additional ways to determine the year?

Temperature side is the one-year only 1977 gauge. 74-76 middies went to 300, and SC's were not numbered AFAIK.
'77 or 930 sender 911.606.112.00 works. According to PET, also used on 3.2. Pressure side 0-140 PSI requires a 10 bar sender... original was 911.606.111.00. Your 3.2 will have the 5 bar sender 911.606.135.00, which isn't correct.

Bizarre thing about the ‘77 is that althought the manual states “oil temps should not exceed 300°” the additional 40° of temperature range (due to those thermal reactors) on the gauge was going to do what…give the driver another 10 miles or 10 minutes of driving before catastrophic engine fail ?
