Demistifying demisting!

Hi - apologies if this has been raised many times before.
I have a 1982 UK model 911 SC. The "black box" heater control does not work, so I am using the lever between the seats. I can get hot air through the vents in the side of the dash, and fresh air to the windscreen using the dashboard controls. I cannot get hot air to the windscreen though. I presume the controls should open a route for hot air to travel, but can't find it.
Does anyone have a plan of the system, or some ideas of where / what to look at?
Thanks,
Jim

Hi Jim welcome to the board. You will find this place an invaluable source of information but before we can answer your question properly we need to see pics of your car.
Until then allow me to introduce you to the search button (top right)
This is what you are looking for: Inane heater controls

You dont need to have your pictures hosted.
click post reply (bottom right) and underneath the text input box you will see a link to upload a photo. Click it and browse to the pic on your HD, choose it and select upload now. Wait a while and the pop up will dissappear and the html for the pic will be displayed in the text box - below what you just typed, if anything.
Large pics take longer to upload and you have to rename .bmp to .jpg for bmp to work
Click preview before you submit the thread to see if it worked
