Seat Covers? Sheepskins?

I'm looking for a recommendation.

I want to preserve my leather seats so I'm looking to buy some seat covers. I want something nice and also comfortable, not sweaty or cheap looking.

Since I seem to be stuck in the mid-80s I thought about sheepskins. Charcoal gray to match a black interior. Can anyone recommend a brand? Maybe I'd also need to get some fuzzy dice.

What about other materials? Neoprene? Does anyone have experience w/these Coverking seat cover sold here on Pelican?

Preserve the seats for what/whom? The next owner? Just take care of them and they will look good for years to come. The seats in my '86 still look great.

I like sheepskins! Cool in the summer, warm in the winter.

My experience with sheepskins (in the 80's) was all good. You get what you pay for!

I use Blue Ribbon covers.. good quality and fit. They're great in 110degF desert heat and 20deg winters. They reduce road harmonics about 40% to the driver. Harmonics create fatigue on big rides. NYC is a 55min choo choo ride from NYC if you want to check them out. Otherwise they're about $400 for the full sheepskin and less for the sheepskin seat only with fake sides.

Yeah, those Blue Ribbons seem to be pretty nice. I looked at them on autoanything.com. $$$ though.

There was also an ad in Excellence for Rocky Mountain sheepskins but I don't know anything about that company.

I had sheepskins on an RX-7 way back when and they were great. Wore like iron, girlfriend spilled stuff her slurpies/frosties/[insert messy drink here] all over them and they cleaned right up.

When I sold the car I took them off and the seats underneath were like new.

my brother had an immaculate Marina del Rey Ca '88 911.
He's neurotic on having the best in his car and he'll stretch a nickle into a dollar. He even rode a few hrs to their Ca factory before buying. He said they are the best he could find. It's like I have my own personal Consumers Reports.
