Thermistor for 911 SC

I have a temperature control unit in the car between the seats. the one with the dial on top.
It seems that it now either works as full on or off.
I got intot he habbit of flicking the temperature sensor betweent eh sun visors and it then started to work in degrees as it should between on and off. Now it doesn't work at all.

Is the roblem the thermistor? Or is it something else?
Can any one point me to the correct replacement part?
Many thaks
Keith

Had the exact same problem. Used to turn the sensor to get it to work.

The problem is bad contact between the sensor NTC resistor and the plug that connects it. It's the old fashion camera flash connector.

I took the sensor out from the plug. I bend the center pin a little (0,1mm) to the side to increase pressure on contact surface, and cleaned the plug, and crushed the outer ring a little with a plier, to make it have better contact to the sensor.

Mine now work's as intended.
