Could this be the source of a vacuum leak?
 
Could this be the source of a vacuum leak on my 84 3.2L.? It is sort of diccucult to see but it is cracked all around the base.

That leak looks similar to the picture in Wayne's "101 Projects for your Porsche 911" on page 96.
