steering issues need help???

Hope some one can help, sitting in the drivers seat I can now move the steering column up and down about an inch, the car still steers perfect what could have broke?

Yea, simple 10 minute fix.

It's probably the sleeve that slides over the steering column shaft.

Remove the steering wheel and you'll see where that sleeve fits. It's probably worn or has broken into pieces. Order a new sleeve, I recommend the newer edition, metal and slightly longer.

About $12.00.....

cheers

It's probably the plastic bushing at the top of the steering shaft. Had the same problem about 2 months ago. The good news is that it's an easy and inexpensive fix. You can buy a metal replacement bushing from our host for about $6. Takes about 20 minutes to replace. Do a search and you'll find there's several threads on the topic.
