First Engine Drop
Watching Jimmy from MobilWorks was truly amazing. It took less than an hour to drop the motor from my 911. I needed a clutch job. Here are some pics of Jimmy working on my car. After watching him, I think I can do the drop myself in the futurel.
I can say enough about the convenience of having your mechanic come to your house to fix the car. Under the car disconnecting something (CV's), Clutch cable, etc... Hey Jimmy, Look over here! Engine out in 55 minutes. Who is the Hottie? That's Jesse, Jimmy's assistant(wife, girlfriend) Getting ready to put the engine back My new Momo Milleneium.

I was able to do my first engine drop a couple of years ago using the photo tutorial on the website here. I had to do a clutch job as well as my clutch fork had failed. It was easy, fun and relatively stress free with the help I got here.

You can tell he's good, we didn't even have to ask for the manditory picture of him in the empty engine compartment
![]() Why doesn't he have blood running down his forehead? Don't tell me I'm the only one who does that....... |

Very affordable. $50/hr. It was mentioned that he used to work for a couple of Porsche dealerships that charged $120/hr. And he only saw $25 of that.

Funny! He did say that after I snapped the pic. It is mandatory for the mech to pose inside the engine bay after the drop.

Blood? Isn't blood hard to see through all the grease! I usually can't tell I am bleeding until I get into the shower after working on the car!
55min for an engine drop! You are really only paying about 20/hour if he is working that fast! I don't think he even got dirty.... Jeff
