rear grill
The rear metal grill on a 72-73 911 was anodized. On original untouched grills the top is grey in appearance. Some folks I have talked with tell me that this is the new factory look others say it was black from the factory and the grey look is the result of fading from years of sun. Can someone who really knows share the facts...please.

It is black. The fading issue is real. On an original grill, look at the underside and you will see the truer color. I think I have a pic at home that will show it.
