WOW, what a difference!
For those Cabriolet owners out there who always wondered whether it's possible to only replace the clear plastic window, here's your answer
 BEFORE   AFTER  Looks like a new car now!  Now to pressure clean the soft-top and hopefully remove some of that dust build up over the years

I am not sure if he really replaced that window or used a plastic polish.
I got simulare results when I used a polish found at Pep Boys that was for bike and boat plastic windows... as suggested on this BBS.

Looks like a replacement as the stitching has changed.....

After over fifteen years of boating and having replaced a number of windows I can guarantee that there is no polish on earth that could make the old window look like the new one. It was replaced.

WydRyd, you say 'here's the answer'... but you don't actually GIVE the answer!
It would help if you mentioned if it actually WAS replaced, who did it and where the part came from.

Polish can do a good job on LIGHTLY scratched mildowed windows that are hard to see thru. I would say a day and early afternoon difference... :^)
My top is only two years old, but it was getting hard to backup safely because of the light scratches on the window. The polish made a difference. I now use the polish every time I wash the car. I agree that replacement windows will always look the best. I will get the brand when I get home, but from what I understand almost any will do.

Sorry guys for the delayed reply.
Yes, it was professionally cut out and a new one stitched in. The old one was beyond polishing! I tried everything, but it was too mouldy and scratched. I can't believe how this new window has improved the overall look of the car. It's added to the re-sale valve It's nice to be able to see out the back once again!!! P.S: To maintain it, I'll be using Plexus Clear Plastic Cleaner religiously!

I put a new window in my top, and wished I'd done it sooner. Then I sold the top 4 months later
 Cost $200 to have it done locally.

Who did the work?
My back window is cracked and needs to be replaced. I phoned a few convertible top shops and they all told me that the back canvas needs to come out and the canvas and window replaced. Minimum $600 bucks. I asked if they could cut it out and they said no. |
