mixing 3.0 SC heads ?

as part of a rebuild in process i have one head damaged on my 82 sc engine.....can i replace the faulty head with a 78/79 head....can you mix and match or should i syick to all heads being the same ?

The 78/79 heads had larger intake ports . Some say the large ports were also on the Euro(ROW) cars up to 83. The US spec engine has smaller ports in 1980 to 83. You need to stay with whichever port size you have on all cylinders.
