Question 911 performance air intakes; Good or Bad?

Are the preformance air intakes I see out there worth it for the money? What manufacturer would be recommended fora stock 911?

Do they make any difference?

Are you talking about filters, or actual intakes?
If you are taling about filters and such, the only ones that will make any difference is the ones that will bring in cold air. If you can get cool outside air to your engine instead of hot engine compartment air without bringing in rain or dirt, your engine will like it.
Even those will make a small difference, just about anything else is fluff or bling.

If you are talking about larger bore throttle bodies or something like that, I've heard mixed results on a stock engine. Some say it helped, some say it did nothing.
You might get a better evaluation if you post a question about a particular brand or style, more to go on.

Does K&N make a solution for the air intake? If so, where can I purchase one?

Garage
Mine went on not for performance, but rather to clean-up and balance out my motor after removing A/C and heater blower. Can't wait for the next valve adjust and/or plug change

Porsche didn't screw up the aircleaner housing. There is nothing to be found there. By altering it you can change the sound though. Some of the intakes can reduce power but you probably can't feel it.
