Water leaks
Ok I give up. I washed the car last Thursday and hey I got pools on the floor. The door seals and top seals are dry. On the passenger side there are two little trickles of water that are coming in through a seam just behind where the heater hose goes up into the bonnet. On the drivers side the carpet was soaked all along the door inside of the chrome strip.
Where do I start to find the source??

How is the windshield seals...do you have rust under the seals? I had the same issue long before I could see visible rust at the edge of the windshield weather stripping. If you replace the windshield you must be sure not to remove the protective paint.

i second the windshield seal..typical leaking point is the upper driver's side corner..it doesn't cover well.

Here are a few photo's. Lines and arrows indicate water flow. I think I may have figured out the drivers side. Looks like the P.O. lost or removed the outside squeegee. Could this allow water to pass though the door and out the bottom between the door panel and the metal frame?
On the passenger side the photo's are taken from inside the truck looking just past the shock and from inside the car looking into the foot well just past the heater hose where is passes into the trunk. Could the windshield seal allow water to get into this area? If not any ideas where its getting in from? ![]() ![]() ![]()

again..yes..the windshield seal COMMONLY permits leaks onto the driver's side floorboard..right where you have the problem. i replaced my seal..no more leaks.

Did you "diy" the seal or have it done?

I replaced the cowl seals this weekend. That fixed the water leak into the passenger foot well. Now I have a different one. Water comes in at the front bottom corner of the door. The right seal I replaced a few months ago and the drivers side is original. The water pools and comes in right over the chrome strip and the carpet wicks it up. Now what?
