There's a company that advertises in Excellence, that specializes in low mileage cars. Looking at their ads always amazes me that someone could ever buy a 911 and basically sit on it. I guess with enough money and space....

I have the same car w/ better options, and think it's disgraceful that this thing hasn't been driven. I don't see this ever selling w/ a 50k starting bid price. I'd rather have one w/ 50k miles that has actually been serviced than that one. What was the owner thinking?

Is it just me or is the car worth LESS just because it wasn't driven? Seems like a waste of a good Porsche...

What an incredible waste of a perfectly good car.

Yeah, but given that an 87 Carrera is certainly no where near a really "collectible" car, what's the point of letting one sit? These cars are meant to be driven. I feel bad for the car.

I wonder if he'd part it out - that interior looks like it's in pretty good shape...

the person who is selling this is Michael Wilhoit. He has purchased this car and is flipping it.

He probably should have auctioned it in Monterey. At least one of the auctions allows you to "buy" your own >No Reserve< car off the block if you don't like the price...

The problem for this seller is an '87 911 has no collectible value. Great car and all that, but it will never be a particularly sought-after Porsche - even 10-20 years down the road. Now imagine a '73 RS Carrera, '67 S softwindow Targa or any early S with 75 original miles - the sky would truly be the limit.
