Ignition Distributor Rebuild

Any suggestions for a shop to rebuild the distributor on my 1979 911SC? Alternatively, any suggestions on rebuild kits and replacement bushing availability for the same?

Thanks,

Duane,
Try doing a search...There should be plenty of info posted on the subject.

Call Barry Hershon of Distributors Lab. He only does Porsche distributors. Nothing else.

Kurt from Partsklassic was great to deal with. Friendly and good turn around. From my own research, Partsklassic does it for about $500 and Barry does it for about $600.

I know you can buy the parts you need from Partsklassic as well. To do it right requires the bushings to be reemed by a machine shop. If you DIY and have a good machine shop you can do it for less than $100 but not counting your time driving around to the machine shop etc.

I had very good luck with Jeff at Advanced distributors for my 2.7 dizzy and he recurved it as well and the price was right.
