Heater Hose Install Tips for SC?
Replaced a split and crushed air hose with a new one, but am having trouble getting the air compressor back on again without crushing the hose (hence, the need for replacement). Even getting the compressor bracket on was a real tight fit.
I have tried to take up as much slack from the left to create a more severe bend at the fan, but no go. There has to be a way. http://www.gunsnet.net/album/data//5...r-hose-med.jpg |
You need to replace those "paper" tubes with something more durable. Check this thread for info. I did mine several years back and was well worth it.

They all get a litttle crushed. Porsche later went with a smaller diameter hose to run under the compressor.

Here's a site that might help you out with those durable hoses.

Heck, I just bought this hose!!
I did check out the SCAT/SCEET options. The hose diameter was the same, as was the price, so I went with an original hose from Pelican. (And this one is pretty sturdy, not anything like the paper and aluminum lined one it replaced.) After getting this one in, the next one will have to wait another 28 years for replacement. |
You need to get the reducer for the small hose to the larger hose. The reducer fits under the AC compressor bracket
