Alternator Rebuilder or High-Amp New Unit

My alternator is not dead yet! 12.4-12.75v at 2-3K rpm! I will be thinking about just replacing the regulator, but...

to be on the safe side, I am open to everything being 'kinda' new. So, does anyone recommend a reputable rebuilder in the Ventura/LA County areas?

Thanks.

Also, has anyone bought and used the new high-amp alternators our sponsor carries?

does the high amp have larger dia windings?

I do not know the specs. I just thought it would be an upgrade if I were to buy a new one.

Any armature place can rebuild it. THey are not that complicated. I would take it off yourself and install it yourself.

Cab: Call Foreign Alternator and Starter in Northridge. I had mine rebuilt there two years ago for $75. It's a hole in the wall shop, but the guy knew what he was doing and, so far, it's been working perfectly.

Local autoparts stores can get rebuilt ones. Autolite supplies rebuilt Bosch units for around a hundred bucks.
