Trouble shooting low idle.
Trouble shooting low idle.
I have a 1988 911 Cararra, the idle seems low at 725-750 RPM’s. Could the jets be gummed up, could there be a vacuum hose off somewhere? If the computer controls the idle what can I do to increase the idle to 900-950? |
Do a search on idle adjustment. You need to jump an electrical switch and then adjust the idle.
You have fuel injection, therefore you do not have jets per se, but rather injectors. If a vacuum hose was off, you would probably exhibiting "hunting" of the idle, rather than low idle. |
Thanks, did some searches did not find what I was looking for I will try your search key words.
Send me the info on the Duc, if it is still for sale. Raced AMF two years ago, went to four wheels, sold the GSXR600 race bike and my Hayabusa looking for a new bike. shawn.clouse@lexisnexis.com |
