headlight housing removal
can someone clue me in on the best way to remove the headlight housing on a 67 911? this is the big round black do-hicki that is visible under the fender. i need to get access to the top of the parking light boxes to repair them. thanks a bunch..tom

I looked at my fenders which are off the car and it looks like that bucket is spot welded to the front of fender.
I'm not sure if you could remove it with out damaging something else. you may have to work around it if you can or weld your repair from inside the turn signal housing.

If you need to work the turn signal, the housings come out as one unit on those cars up to '68 (I think '68 was the last year). Are you talking about repairing the fender metal above the housing?
