Hey all,
My a/c blower motor stopped the other day while I was driving. All other blowers work in the footwells and I can hear the compressor come on so that leads me to believe it is not the "a" relay located in the trunk fuse panel. Any other relays I can look for that might remedy the issue? Not sure what to do now so a point in the right direction would help. thanks much '86 targa |

Actually, The #6 relay in the front luggage compartment controls only the AC condensor blower. Swap it with your horn (#4) relay and see if this fixes it. Honk your horn first to make sure #4 is OK.

You have the AC evaportor blower in the smuggler's box (blows cold air into the cabin), and the front condensor motor mounted inside the hood, just behind the front bumper. Which one has stopped blowing? If the evaporator blower has died, I agree with checking the fuse as well as the connector at the motor itself (in the smuggler's). If the fuse is blown, be prepared for the evaporator motor to be either gone or about to go. In either case, be careful as these motors can smoke and sometime flame up. (ask me how I know) I had Charles Griffiths repair my motor and it works great.
