New Rennline adj. gas pedal in 78 SC - anyone have this prob?

The pedals installed perfectly, but the adjustable gas pedal sits up too high. All the slotted adjustable plates are at their lowest position and the throttle linkage is set at the highest point it can be on it's slotted mount (the upper slot of the two). The gas pedal is still about 1/2" higher than the brake pedal when depressed, and the brake pedal doesn't go down much, maybe 1", to be completely depressed... I did tighten the linkage down as low as short as it will go also.. I even added spacers between the new brake pedal cover and the pedal itself, still not enough. Very close, but not right.

I called them, I guess too late today. Anyone else have this problem and overcome it?

Thanks!
Gary R.

That's total BS for what these cost. I helped Paul get the pedal set for the 997S designed and got these as compensation but regardless of cash outlay there is no excuse for this. I could draw up a modified design that will work quite easily, just recess the shaft fitting into the pedal strut uprights and box the area in instead of having it hanging out on that mount plate, adding length. I'll fix this if it comes to it, but I don't really think I should have to!!!

All they had to do was make the upright struts with less of an arc (or flat!). There is a TON of adjustment upwards..
