Get the mixture reset.
The SSI's greater free flow really changes the setting. It is probably more than the adjustment range of the Lambda system.

I also have an 80 SC with recently installed SSI heat exchangers and 2 in/1 out exhaust. I richened the mixture to about 3% CO and adjusted the idle speed with the air bleed screw. It starts and runs well, especially on the top end. If you close down the air bleed screw too much the idle will tend to drop too low when you close the throttle. Even though I richened the CO from 2% to 3%, I am getting slightly better fuel mileage now (17-18 mpg town / 25-27 mpg hwy).

I can't wait to get some SSI's.
I should figure out how long they will pay for themselves with gas savings.
