brake caliper a bit sticky
Hi all,
When I got back from the track a few weeks ago, I noticed the car (82SC with PFC pads) was a bit difficult to push around in the garage. I figured I'd jack up the car and see what's up and it seems the right-front caliper's pistons must not be retracting well on their own. I can still turn the hub by hand, but it is definitely not freewheeling like the left-front wheel. I'd hate to have to rebuild the caliper, but what do you all think. The car does NOT pull to one side under heavy or light braking, both front rotors look evenly worn, and I couldn't even tell anything was "wrong" if it were not for pushing the car in the garage. Is there anything I can try to help address this, short of rebuilding it (...just trying to avoid that hassle, IF I can anyway). Thanks a bunch! Edward |
Just rebuild it. It's not that difficult.
