Adjusting brake pedal down

My brake pedal is too high and even under hard braking (i.e. at the track) I cannot manage to line it up with the accelerator for hee/toe.

How do I go about adjusting it down? Can I do it myself?
I browsed quickly through the 101 projects book but could not see it...

Any help is appreciated. Thank you!
