I know investors who are looking at Rosamond as the last frontier before the nothingness of the High Desert. Why? Lancaster/Palmdale is growing. There's a housing shortage there. Houses already in Landcaster/Palmdale have quadrupled in price in the last ten years.
Moral of the tale: enjoy your track days now. Once investors get hold of nearby land, I wouldn't expect Willow Springs to stick around much longer. Remember what was done to Riverside Raceway? It's a shopping mall and condo complex now. Ontario Motor Speedway is an industrial park. If that can happen to two of the greatest and most historical tracks in the United States, Willow Springs doesn't have a prayer. |

So let's be the investors and buy the land around the track starting with this one. It'd be really nice to have a shop just outside the gate there.
